Why I'm Acting Ugly Stuff

Guy (my 1989 Mazda MX 6 5 speed) got sick on Monday on the interstate. The "Hero" (local response team to highway troubles) guys tried their best to get him started, but Guy just wouldn't get going. The "Hero" guys gave me a ride to work and we had to have Guy towed to a service station. (less than 2 miles $80).

I agreed to the $19.99 charge by Firestone (the robbers)to check Guy out to determine what would be needed to get him back on the road.

The Firestone guy called with a grand total of $537.20 to get the car started - further diagnostic would be done at that point with price to be determined by result of said diagnostic.

We called the towing service and for an additional $110 they brought Guy home.

When I have no car to drive I get to ride on what happens to pass for mass transit in the Atlanta Metro area.

I left the house at 6:30 this morning and walked into my office at exactly 9:00. I live about 25 miles away from where I work. 2 1/2 hours for 25 miles. I'm is a particularly pissy mood this morning and I have nothing else to talk about right now.

If I lived closer, we'd be car-pooling. Hang in there, girl!

Here I thought I was the only person in the world with an unreliable car living in a city with unreliable mass transit.

That totally bites. I had to do the 'bus' thing once. 45 minutes to go five, yes 5, miles.

I could feel my cells die from losing so much of my life.

Poor Guy.

Did you get the MARTA train that smells like pee? Oh wait, they all smell like pee.

So sorry, Jali. Guy is sucking as a boyfriend, and the timing couldn't be worse right after Christmas.

I'd come and get you if I lived there.

i would place atlanta #1 on the carcentric city list. you cannot live here without one. at least not effectively. its hard, i ve done it and i feel bad for you. where did your car die? id hate to end up on the inside shoulder of 285 on a curve.

Aw, you're too hard on yourself w/ the title.

No AAA? The base package offers towing to the nearest AAA or to anywhere you like < 3 miles.

I tell ya what... my sister just moved to the ATL and not only that I have an ex bf and a few friends I need to visit.

I am making a trip just to visit you and we will ride that shit together...all the while poking fun at folks and then laughing our asses off at lunch.

Is that cool? Don't make me make a trip for nothing!

Sometimes the needs of a pregnant wife outweigh the needs of the many...

It has been a rough couple of days...

Bummer on the car!
